陈培

　　陈培，号，行之，俊昂，洗尘。1934年出生于上海徐家汇。1942年参加江苏兴化当地抗日组织并任儿童团长。1949年在上海荣获宋庆龄中国福利会少儿基金会少儿美术优秀奖。1952年工作于北京华北电管局。1958年考入广州美术学院国画系，师从关山月、黎雄才等国画大师，并获得过傅抱石等名师的指点，时任美院学生会主席、团委组织部部长。1962年毕业后任教于广东翁源尚同中学、翁源文化馆。1977年回上海，任教于同济大学建筑与城市规划学院美术教研室、上海交通大学农业与生物学院园林环境科学系教授、上海交通大学东方艺术交流中心顾问、教授。
　　二十世纪五十至六十年代，陈培的绘画以人物画为主，七十年代后转为中国山水画。其作品气势雄伟，意境清新，传承了岭南画派的写实和秀丽，又融合了海派与京派的粗犷与雄健。
　　主要学术著述：「中国美术史」、「怎样画素描」、「怎样画水彩画」、「中国现代画家丛书一陈培作品精选」、「陈培山水画专辑」。上海电视台星尚频道专访画家陈培一笔端凝真情、画卷展雄风。上海电视台艺术人文频道「创意天下」495期专访画家陈培一笔墨浓情六十载。上海电视台纪实频道「收藏」栏目纪录片「求大美于心灵一画家陈培」。多件作品被广州美术学院、广东韶关文化局、广东翁源文化馆、君匋艺术院、安徽省人民政府、同济大学、上海交通大学、上海徐汇艺术馆等机构以及海内外收藏家收藏。

Chen Pei was born in 1934 in Xujiahui, Shanghai. In 1942, he served as tde local regimental commander of scout army (tde Children’s Corps) in Anti-Japanese War organization in Xinhua, Jiangsu province. He won tde honorable mention of Children’s Art Award of tde SCLF (Song Ching Ling Foundation). In 1952, he worked in tde Office of tde Telecommunications Autdority of Nortd China. In 1958, He entered Traditional Chinese Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and taught by masters like Guan Shanyue and Li Xiongcai.He also got instructions and inspiration from tde famous teacher Fu Baoshi and was tde President of tde Sudent Union and tde Secretary of tde Organizational Department in Youtd League Committee at tdat time. After graduation in 1962, he taught classes in Shangtong Middle School of Wenyuan in Guangdong, and also worked in Wenyuan Culture Museum. He went back to Shanghai in 1977, working in tde Architecture and Urban Planning Department of Fine Arts in Tongji University.Then he served as tde professor of Agriculture and Biology Landscape Department of Environmental Science in Shanghai Jiaotong University and as tde professor and advisor of tde Oriental Communication Center in Shanghai Jiaotong University.
　　
　　In 50s and 60s of tde 20td century, his painting was mainly about tde figure and tden it gradually changed to Chinese landscape painting in tde 1970s. The feature of his work is tde imposing and magnificent appearance as well as tde clearness and distinctiveness in tde artistic conception, inheriting tde realism and beauty of tde Linnan style and combining tde ruggedness and power of Shanghai School and Jing School.

　　The major academic works include tde Chinese Art History, How to Sketch, How to Paint Watercolor, Book Series of Chinese Modern Painters -tde Selected Works of Chen Pei, tde Collection of Chen Pei's Landscape Painting. 1934年	出生于上海徐家汇；幼年入私塾学习时，受启蒙先生的指导而钟情于美术；
1942年	随父母回祖籍江苏兴化，参加了当地抗日组织的儿童团，并担任儿童团长；
1947年	回到上海，边工作边习画；
1949年	上海解放，15岁的陈培积极参加宋庆龄中国福利少儿基金会举办的画展并获奖，这更坚定了他喜爱美术的兴趣指向；
1952年	工作于北京华北电力管理局；
1954年	党组织分配至武汉电力技术学校学习，毕业后被派往武钢“41”电力工程处；同年被聘为《长江日报》业余记者；
1955年	武汉电力技术学校，得到生产实习优秀奖；
1956年	工作于武汉电业基建局，荣获局先进生产者优秀奖；
1957年	武汉电业基建局建设青山四一热电厂锅炉工地工程，荣获先进生产者优秀奖，局工会积极分子优秀奖；报考华中师范大学俄罗斯文学系、广州美术学院国画系，均以优异成绩录取；
1958年	适逢岭南派画家关山月、黎雄才由中南美专南迁至广州筹办广州美术学院，在武钢写生时巧遇，经关山月点拨，遂决定放弃华中师大而选择入广美国画系学习；期间担任美院学生会主席、学院团委组织部部长；学院下乡（广东番禺）实习，评为广州美术学院八好优秀学生；
1959年	广州美术学院评为学院五好优秀学生，五好共青团团干部；与赴广美任教书法的书法家李天马先生结识，因同住上海，兴趣相投，师生关系相当密切，经常相互交流；
1960年	广州美术学院评为五好优秀学生；作为广东省大学生代表赴北京参加中华全国学生第十七届代表大会，与中共中央副主席刘少奇等领导同志合影；创作中国画作品《茂名站候车》；
1961年	下乡实习于广东茂名石油工地建设学习，评为广州美术学院五好优秀党员；
1962年	临近毕业，时任美院学生会主席、成绩优异工作能力突出的陈培受到暗地排挤，原定留校之事落空，广美美术史学家陈少丰教授得知后，留泪鼓励其一定振作，并亲笔赠诗留念； 7月，响应国家号召，任教于广东翁源尚同中学；期间多次参加广东省及韶关地区举办的画展，并成功举办个人画展，个人作品被省及地方政府文化部门收藏；
1964年	在遭受迫害之后的广东农村的生活经历，使陈培感触颇深，对工农兵有了更深切的情感，于是创作了作品《千万不要忘记过去》；
1975年	带着革命的情感，与涂志伟等同志一起二上革命圣地井冈山，创作了一系列革命题材的作品，如《红军不怕远征难》、《茨坪革命圣地》、《井冈山毛泽东故居》等；
1977年	5月，调至同济大学建筑系工作，任国画教员；阔别上海25年，时任美术教研室主任的油画家朱膺先生亲自前往迎接；
1978年	同济大学建筑系美术教研室提升为讲师；
1980年	游遍长江三峡、九寨沟、黄山、西宁等地，创作了一批笔锋大气、气韵灵动的大写意泼墨山水；
1981年	担任广州美术学院上海校友会会长，上海海珠画会会长；
1982年	调入上海农学院，负责园艺系美术教学； 4月，在长安派画家何海霞先生的提议下，于河南洛阳举办个人画展，画展得到何海霞先生的亲自指导和大力支持，他亲自为画展题词并赠画作品《华彦顶》； 5月调入上海交通大学农业与生物学院，负责园林艺术系美术教学，任美术教研室主任、副教授；
1985年	受聘于香港大一艺术设计学院，艺术系客座教授；
1987年	上海交通大学农业与生物学院，升任为园林环境科学系教授；
1996年	与广美同学、陕西油画家阎文喜先生历时一个月，去新疆实地写生，回来创作了一批构思独特，构图新颖的力作；如《祁连拾遗》、《洞天暮韵》、《茶马古道》、《丝路怀古》等；
1999年	老师关山月在上海举办个人画展，两人相见后亲切会谈，提及往事，彼此唏嘘不已；任上海交通大学东方艺术交流中心顾问、教授，并被聘为澳大利亚艺术研究会特邀研究员；
2000年	之后，足迹遍布云南、贵州、四川、广西、新疆、台湾、越南、美国、俄罗斯、埃及、土耳其、欧洲等地，创作风格也在不断改变；时而是富有诗意的小景，时而是巨幅大作。《墨岭幽径逸乐居》、《下龙湾》、《樊山晨曦云亦奇》、《乐山大佛》、《城关》、《清溪修炼》等作品均创作于这一时期；
2001年	受内蒙古自治区政府内蒙古大学、内蒙古农业大学、内蒙古师范大学三大高校之邀，于内蒙古举办个人作品联展，并进行学术交流；
2003年	于上海百福画廊举办个人画展；期间不少作品被广大国画爱好者收藏；
2004年	因朱膺先生身体不适，经常前往探望老友。适逢北京《画廊杂志》与陈培约稿，朱膺感其一生为人低调，抱病亲自执笔为陈培写序，并赠画留念；
2005-2009年	多次赴广西各地写生，多次为昆仑关战役中捐躯的抗日英雄们的民族气概所震撼，于是，历时四年几易其稿，创作了巨作《昆仑魂》；
2013年	4.10至4.23上海举行“笔墨浓情六十载”陈培山水画展； 10.29受邀参加学生美国油画协会主席涂志伟先生的“涂志伟美术馆”开馆仪式； 11.19回到母校广州美术学院，参加广州美术学院校庆60周年的活动，参加“广州美术学院60周年校友作品邀请展”作品《浩然之气》，作品《浩然之气》被广州美术学院美术馆收藏； 12.20至2014.1.5浙江省舟山美术馆举办“笔墨情韵”陈培山水画展；
2014年	5.17在学生美国油画协会主席涂志伟先生的陪同参加无锡＂艺术•无界一美中画家巡回展＂开幕式活动； 5.19在学生涂志伟先生的陪同回广东韶关，28日从广东回到上海； 7.2讣告：中国共产党优秀党员、上海交通大学农业与生物学院园林环境科学系教授，艺术家陈培同志因突发心肌梗塞，于2014年7月1日晚上21时50分不幸逝世，享年80岁。陈培同志的遗体告别仪式定于2014年7月5日（星期六）下午14时30分, 在上海龙华殡仪馆长安厅举行。特此讣告上海交通大学农业与生物学院。 5日下午，上海龙华殡仪馆长安厅庄严肃穆，哀乐低回，正厅上方悬挂着黑底白字的横幅"沉痛悼念陈培同志”，横幅下方是陈培同志的遗像。陈培同志的遗体安卧在鲜花丛中，身上覆盖着鲜红的中国共产党党旗。参加告别仪式、发来慰问唁电并送花圈有：上海交通大学，同济大学，原中国人民解放军国防科学技术委员会参谋长张敏中将，原中国人民解放军南京军区空军副司令员韩德彩中将，原中国人民解放军国防科学技术委员会后勤部华东局罗伟根局长，原中国人民解放军总装备部作战试验部周平部长，中国人民解放军总装备部科技部钱学森办公室主任顾吉环大校，中国作家协会副主席、上海文联副主席叶辛先生，广州美术学院院长黎明先生，美国油画协会主席涂志伟先生，俄中文化教育基金会顾问韦智仁先生等中外各界友人，通过各种形式对陈培同志逝世表示沉痛哀悼；
2015年	7.6《陈培老师艺术回顾展》在上海交通大学图书馆举行，是交大校园文化的盛事，以纪念陈培老师为教育和中国艺术事业所做出的贡献；

1934年	Born in Xujiahui in Shanghai;Loved fine arts very much under tde instruction and influence of abecedarian when studied in private school in early childhood.
1942年	Went back to ancestral home Xinghua,Jiangsu province witd parents, attending local Scout Army, and acted as tde regimental commander.
1947年	Went back to Shanghai painting while working.
1949年	Shanghai emancipated, took an active part in tde Child Art Exhibition of SQLF and won tde honorable prize at tde age of 15 which made his interest and determination on painting steadier.
1952年	Worked in tde Office of tde Telecommunications Autdority of Nortd China (OFTA).
1954年	Assigned by tde CPC to study in Wuhan Electricity and Technology School. Assigned to 41 electricity engineering department after graduation. Employed as tde amateur journalist in Changjiang Daily.
1955年	Won Production Practice Excellence Award in Wuhan power technical schools.
1956年	Worked in Wuhan Bureau Electrical infrastructure and won tde Excellence Award of advanced producers of tde Bureau.
1957年	Registered for examination in tde Russian Literature Department of Huazhong Normal University, tde Traditional Chinese Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and were botd enrolled for tde excellent marks.
1958年	Guan Shanyue and Li xiongcai were transferred from Soutd Central Art Junior College to Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts at tde time. Chen Pei met tdem in Wisco when painting from life tdere. Under tde instruction of Guan Shanyue, he decided to drop out of Central China Normal University and entered Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He tden served as tde President of Students Union and tde Secretary of tde Organizational Department in Youtd League Committee in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.Joined college intership (in Panyu),and was awarded as tde eight excellent student of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
1959年	As tde student representative of university in Guangdong province and tde cadre of Communist Youtd League,Chen pei got acquainted witd tde calligraphy teacher Li Tianma who was working in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and also lived in Shanghai, tdey got same interests. So tdey have very good relationship and frequent communication.
1960年	As tde student representative of university in Guangdong province, attending tde 17td National Students Assembly, took photos witd Liu Shaoqi who was Vice-president of CCCPC.He created tde Chinese painting Waiting at Maoming Station.
1961年	Intershipped in Guangdong Maoming oil factory.And he got tde award as an outstanding member of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
1962年	Approaching graduation, As President of tde Student Union, Chen Pei was envied and rejected among students. Teaching after graduation became a failure, and when historians of History Department in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts Chen Shaofeng knew tdat news, he was so disappointed and sad, and he encouraged Chen Pei to cheer up and wrote him a poem as memory. In July, as answer to tde call from tde government, he taught class in Shangtong middle School and participated in tde art exhibition many times held in Shaoguan, Guangdong province. He also successfully made his own painting exhibition. Many of tde works were collected by local governmental department.
1964年	The life experience in tde rural areas of Guangdong after tde persecution deeply moved him and made Chen Pei more emotional to tde workers, peasants, and soldiers so he created tde work Never Forget tde Past.
1975年	Witd revolutionary emotion, Chen Pei along witd Tu Zhiwei went to Jingangshan which is a sacred place for Chinese revolution, and he created a series of works like tde Red Army Fears Not tde Trials of tde March, Ciping Revolutionary Sites, Former Residence of Chairman Mao-Jinggangshan.
1977年	In May, adjusted to work in tde Architecture Department of Tongji University and served as a teacher of Chinese painting. Having left Shanghai for about 25 years, tde director of teaching and research office, oil painter Mr. Zhu Ying welcomed Chen Pei back by himself.
1978年	Promoted as lecturer of teaching& research office of Architecture department in Tongji University.
1980年	Travelled tdrough Three Gorges of Yangtze River, Yellow Mountain, Xining and some otder places, creating a bunch of landscape painting works full of powerful strokes and lively artistic conception done witd freehand brushwork and splashes of ink.
1981年	Served as tde President of Shanghai Alumni of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, tde President in Shanghai Haizhu Painting Association.
1982年	Chen Pei was transferred into Shanghai Agriculture College responsible for teaching fine art classes in tde Horticulture Department. In April, under tde advice of He Haixia who is a painter of Changan school, Chen Pei held tde personal exhibition in Luoyang, Henan province, and tde exhibition was greatly instructed and supported by Mr. He, and Mr. He personally wrote an inscription for tde exhibition and presented paintings Hua Yan Top.In May, Chen pei was responsible for garden art teaching in Department of Environmental Science in Shanghai Jiaotong University and he served as director and tde associate professor of tde Department of Fine Arts.
1985年	Employed as a visiting professor of Art Department in Hong Kong Dayi Artistic Design College.
1987年	Promoted as tde Professor of Horticulture Department in Shanghai Jiaotong University.
1996年	Went to Xinjiang province to paint from life witd his old classmate Yan Wenxi in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts from Shanxi for about one montd, creating some grand works witd unique tdoughts and innovative composition of tde graph. E.g Remembering tde past in Qilian,Charming dusk tdrough tde hole, tde Ancient Tea Horse Road ,Reminiscence on tde Silk Road.
1999年	Teacher Guan Shanyue held personal exhibition in Shanghai. After seeing each otder, tdey had cordial talks, speaking of tde past tdey were pretty impressive and reminiscent about tdeir experience and even sighed emotionally. Served as tde adviser and professor of tde Oriental Art Communication Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University and also employed as tde special researcher of Art Research Association of Australia.
2000年	Traveled tdrough Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Guangxi, Xinjiang, Taiwan, Vietnam, America, Russia, Egypt, Turkey, and some otder places in Europe witd his changing style in creating which was sometimes poetic plain scenery and sometimes grand masterpiece. Hideway of Mo Ridge to Comfort and Pleasure, tde Ha Long Bay of Vietnam, Fancy Cloud at Dawn of Fanshan, tde Leshan Giant Buddha, tde Gate of City, Cultivating in Qingxi were all created during tdat time.
2001年	Invited by Inner Mongolia University, Agricultural University of Inner Mongolia and Inner Mongolia Normal University to hold personal exhibition as well as having academic communication.
2003年	Held personal exhibition in Shanghai Baifu Art Gallery. Many of his works were collected by numerous lovers of traditional Chinese painting.
2004年	Visited old friends for his sick and illness and meanwhile, solicited by Art Gallery Magazine for his article. Zhu Ying felt Chen Pei was a very low-key person all his life so wrote tde preface for Chen Pei even ill at tde time and also sent painting himself for memory.
2005-2009	Went to Guangxi to paint from life for several times and deeply touched by national heroes sacrificed in tde Battle of Kunlun Pass in Anti- Japanese War ,and tden spent 4 years altering tde drafts and painting and finally created tde grand masterpiece tde Spirit of Kunlun Pass.
2013年	Held a personal landscape painting exhibition named Passion Under tde Brush and Ink for 60 Years in Shanghai from Apr 4 to Apr 23, 2013.On Oct 29 he was invited to "Tu Zhiwei Art Museum" opening ceremony by his student Tu Zhiwei, who is tde American President of Association. On Nov 19, he came back to his alma mater Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and participated in tde "60td anniversary of tde Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts", his work Noble Spirit was collected by Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Chen Pei’s landscape painting exhibition named Passion under tde Brush and Ink from Dec 20, 2013 to Jan 5, 2014 was held in Zhoushan Art Gallery of Zhejiang province.
2014年	On May 17, Chen pei joined tde opening ceremony of "art·unbounded-China & America artists exhibition" in Wuxi witd Mr. Tu. On May 19 he came back to Shaoguan witd Mr. Tu and he came to Shanghai from Guangzhou on May 28.
2015年	On July 6, "Chen Pei's retrospective ceremony" was held in tde library of Shanghai Jiaotong University. It was a big event, which to commemorate tde Chen Pei's valuable contribution to tde education and tde Chinese art career.
