QX Shuai (1969 - ), is a Chinese painter, born in the city of Chengdu. At the age of 16, Shuai started his pursuit of western painting skills. He was a student of Zuolin Huang, Yiping Ma, Duoling He, Hongjiang Wang, Yi Zheng, Chong Shi, Wangzhu Xin, and more.

人，文绉绉的；画，路子有点野。坦白说，我感兴趣的正是他的野路子，因为这对一个血统正宗的油画科班出生的画家来说，实属难能可贵。更重要的是，他的作品所呈现的格局，恰恰是这个“野”字带来的。
Shuai, as a person, is rather quiet; as a painter however, is more than “peculiar”. Honestly, it was his peculiar painting style that exhilarated me; or actually such a style is nearly impossible to see in a student from a rigorous academic background. What’s most important, is that the expressive form of his works is sought from and rooted in his “peculiarity”.
