Marcello Mannuzza

My sculptures (hand-shaped of realized at the wheel) combine various ceramic techniques with sinuous reliefs and special engravings, covered with special enamels and blast-fired. The wheel also pushes me to experiment with a lively curiosity the 'bucchero' (ancient Etruscan technique), with the use of the black colour and wood firing techniques.

Trey Hill

My new body of work springs from the lure of attraction, seduction, sensuality, beauty, and grace. I am fascinated not only by the sensuality and grace of the human form, but also the exploration of the prosaic. I pull forth emotions that are at once, beautiful and raucous, yet elemental and essential, all the while exploring our human hesitancies.

By employing segments of the universality of human experience, my work alludes to the hauntingly delicate beauty of the exterior that masks the emotion and strength of structure that lies beneath the surface. Using various forms as building blocks to create larger works, I am able to able to deeply explore my curiosities and maintain a technically challenging studio environment. I aim to seduce the senses while exploring the fragile boundaries that weave human sexuality, strength, power, emotion, and vulnerability into one cohesive identity.

Mirko Marcolin

Since childhood, he smells the moist scent of clay at his grandfather's home, who delights in animals playful modelling to satisfy his grandson's fantasies.

Precious knowledge is transmitted to him in this period, as practical and historical techniques of traditional Venetian ceramics process, mostly and specifically majolica painting. In these last years Mirko decided to develop a personal poetic of popular ceramic in Veneto region, specifically modelling small and large whistles such as exercise of free plastic expression.

Ryan Matthew Mitchell

At the beginning of visiting in China, Ryan's main works focused on the subjects of nature, urbanization, Asian historical philosophy and art research. Later, he was curious by the restatement of history and questioned how cultural relics were separated from the original context and reconstructed into narrative. After realizing the relationship between symbolic meaning and contemporary culture, he began to interpret these historical artifacts and put this traditional narrative material into the contemporary context.

Ryan's works connect the artist's conception of materialism, spirit and existential narration. The fragility, weight and strength of ceramics have become the characteristics of artists to convey human experience.
